🎬 Before You Start Recording

Please ensure your recording environment meets the following requirements:

Quiet Environment

Choose a quiet space with no echo, no background noise, and no interference. If possible, use a professional microphone or external audio recorder to greatly reduce background noise and improve overall sound quality.

Green Screen Background

Record in front of a flat and evenly lit green screen. Ensure proper lighting (environmental light, subject light, and backlight) to achieve the best visual quality.

Recording Equipment

You can use a smartphone or camera for recording. We recommend using a tripod or stabilizer to avoid shaky footage and ensure a steady frame for better results.

Key Recording Tips

• After recording starts, keep your jaw naturally closed for 3–4 seconds without showing teeth (this helps model training).
• Use a **professional-quality microphone **or recording device, and position it correctly.
• Maintain natural and expressive hand gestures, aim for the way you’d move during real conversation.

The final avatar’s realism depends heavily on your actual gestures and expressions.

⚠️ Important Dos & Don’ts

• Avoid indicative gestures (e.g., counting “one-two-three,” waving, pointing to yourself).
• Keep hand movements below chest level and within shoulder width.
• Never make gestures that block your mouth area, this is crucial.
• Avoid overly large or repetitive movements. Frequent or exaggerated motion can cause mismatches between the avatar and lip-syncing.
• Maintain natural facial expressions throughout recording. Overacting can cause mismatched expressions in the final output.
• If you forget a line, simply pause and continue naturally. Do not restart mid-sentence.
• When speaking, keep head movements moderate and smooth; avoid jerky or rapid motion.
• Keep blinking natural and slow, ideally once every 4 seconds. Excessive blinking may affect post-production visuals.
• Throughout filming, ensure your eyes stay focused on the camera, and avoid unnecessary body movement or fidgeting.

Wardrobe Guidelines

• Choose your outfit based on your digital human’s intended use.
• Avoid wearing accessories or any items that cover the neck area. (Please remove necklaces, scarves, or any objects that may obstruct the neckline.)
• Do not wear clothing with green elements, as they will interfere with the green screen background.
• Avoid reflective or shiny materials that may cause light reflection and affect the overall motion quality.

Facial Guidelines

• Please avoid wearing glasses. Contact lenses are recommended instead, as reflections or frames may affect accuracy.
• Avoid overly voluminous hairstyles, as they may interfere with the green screen keying process.

Shooting Guidelines

• Keep the camera steady and ensure a clear, focused image throughout the recording.
• For half-body shots, it’s recommended that about two-thirds of the person’s body appears in the frame, maintaining proper balance between subject and background.
• The model’s framing size should be moderate, not too small, so that facial features remain clear and natural for optimal results.
• You may choose to record in standing, seated, or slight side-profile positions, as long as facial features remain clearly visible. Avoid full side angles that obscure the face.

🎬 Recording Complete? Prepare Your Consent

As part of the submission we require a recording of the performer reading the following script to camera. This script needs to be read in the actor’s native language, for which we provide translations. For this recording you don’t need to worry about the style of the delivery, as long as the script is clearly stated by the performer, while facing the camera.

File Format

Save your videos as .mp4 or .mov format.
Use the following naming convention: [Contact Email]-[Name of Talent]-[JoggAI Account].
Please make sure the name matches the one shown in your consent video.

Submission

Upload your video files to Google Drive and share the download link with your account manager. (Uploading via cloud storage helps preserve the original video quality.)

By submitting your footage you acknowledge that the actor fully understands that their visage will be used to create an AI Avatar, that you agree to the JoggAI Terms of Service and JoggAI Privacy Policy.

Few Additional Notes:

1. In order to create a Studio Avatar, you must be at least 18 years of age.
2. The Studio Avatar you ordered is created by animating a recorded video. The model will faithfully reproduce the character’s expressions, gestures, and body language from the source footage. Except for lip movements, all other visual elements will remain unchanged. The final avatar will appear exactly as captured in the recording.
3. Please note that custom actions, outfits, or expressions are not supported after production. Before submitting your footage, please ensure that your expressions and movements meet your expectations—this will directly determine the outcome of your Studio Avatar.
4. The voice clone is recreated based on the speech, tone, and pacing from your submitted material. However, please note that cloned voices cannot perfectly capture 100% of the original speaker’s emotion or timbre. When listening to a familiar voice, it’s normal to sense a degree of “AI quality.” Additionally, due to the inherent variability of AI, the same script may produce slightly different results each time it is used.
